Boost your Health in summer

Repeat positive mantras: - Say to yourself, ‘I want to be around to see my grandchildren, so I can forgo this cook i.e. now’; or type in big font ‘its more stressful to continue being fat than to stop overeating1. We all know the “right rules”, but repeatedly telling one keeps them on high recall!

Get a vitamin boost: - Check with your doctor and work out a short course of vitamins to last you the year. Some suggestions: Vitamin B complex combats digestive problems, among other plus points - kick start the summer with a 15-day course take a break for a month and then repeat for 15 days. Take vitamin C (get your doctor to fix the dose) to keep urinary tract infection (UTI) at bay and buff up your immunity. (Iron supplementation is best left for the winters, unless you suffer from low hemoglobin.)

Pledge to exercise: - An hour a day is enough. Promise yourself to make exercise a non-negotiable routine. Remember to stretch before and after ex¬ercising. For post-exercise muscle soreness, soak in a salt bath or take the homoeopathic medicine arnica.

GH tips:
- Start small. Twenty minutes, thrice a week, is a good beginning. Ideally, work out in the mornings. Push up from week to week in terms of time, frequency and briskness.
