Because Reiki is an oral transmission from teacher to student, one cannot simply read a book on Reiki or surf the websites on the internet, and as a responsibility to facilitate Reiki healing. It is not enough to have an intellectual understanding of how it works to achieve lasting results, nor will wishful thinking bring lasting results. We need the empowerments from someone who knows how.
So how do the Attunements work? The initiations are an ancient formula of energy renewal. The keys to these ancient formulas lie in the Reiki symbols, which if drawn and visualized in the correct sequence by an empowered teacher, will effectively create this pathway in the recipient. Further to this, to have lasting results, there are a number of factors which need to be met, for an effective alignment.
