Chinese women seldom menstruate beyond the age of 40. Menopause in Japanese women takes place in their late 40s. An investigation as to the time of the menopause of North American women has shown that it occurs between the age of 50 and 55. The Indian women come to the stage around the age of 50.
All these women continue to menstruate at an age when the women on the African Continent have long passed the stage and are resting. Menopause comes practically earlier for the women of the black race.
Wollof women and some women from Sierra Lone are said to cease menstruation at the average age of 35. The reproductive capacity of the women of some tribes in India, especially of the hot climate, is said to cease earlier than in Europe.
Generally, it is safe to say that the earlier the climacteric symptoms occur, the more primitive the race to which a woman belongs, and the earlier the life develops, the earlier it decays.  ,
