WHO IS DOING THE HEALING?

When we are facilitating healing for another, it is important to know that we are simply conduits for healing energy. In effect, we are not the ones performing the healing, we are the instruments. One could draw the analogy of ourselves as the power cable, and the healing energy of Reiki as the electricity passing though it. As simple as this seems, it also serves as a reminder to act with humility, as we cannot fully know the possible outcomes of the healing that occurs.
This is not to negate our own part in the experience, because without being this channel the healing has no conduit to pass through. So it is that we both play a part in healing, it is a sacred union or bond between Reiki and ourselves.
