Acne - pimples or zits ~ is a common skin condition. Affecting not just teens but older women in their30s as well, acne can appear on the face, back, shoulders or upper chest. It happens when enlarged oil glands produce excess oil, clogging pores which, if infected, become pimples and leave scars. D1Y can be dangerous - acne needs to be treated by a dermatologist. Acne isn’t caused by dirt, so don’t over-cleanse with harsh soaps. Use a gentle soap-free cleanser Do not use strong astringents on your face Use a sunscreen suited to your skin type Chocolates and oily food don’t cause acne Never squeeze zits, and treat early to prevent scars Acne is emotionally devastating, so get counseling You can’t ‘outgrow’ pimples; you’ll only grow scars! Keep your hands away from your face
 AT - HOME SKIN CARE
Add 1 tsp sugar to a cleanser (it shouldn’t contain exfoliating beads or alpha hydroxy acids} and use as a two-in-one scrub/cleanser. Or try this mask: mix egg white, 1/2 tsp corn flour and fresh milk into a stiff paste. Use both once a week and glow!
