AN INTELLIGENT ENERGY
 
Reiki is an intelligent energy. Many people liken the energy to the source and all-pervading power. Many traditions have a variety of names for this power, for example: God, Buddha Mind, Nature, Universe, Great Spirit, The Force, etc. Regardless of semantics, essentially the importance lies in the notion that a higher force does permeate all existence, and that one can tap this potential through specific methods to benefit sentient beings. What this means is that when one becomes attuned to the Reiki system, there is effectively a merging of the divinity within our own spirit with that of the creative force. 
 To put it simply, we have a direct line to God or Buddha consciousness. Now this is not to say that once we are attuned to the Reiki energy, all our problems are solved and we no longer have any difficulties in our lives. What it does suggest is that once this alignment is made, our connection to the source of power is ignited. We then have a greater capacity to use this healing power, by introducing this to situations to heal and awaken ourselves and others. This power is creative flow; it is held together by love and is the divine intelligence manifested within you.
