Skin Care In Summer
Moisturizing:
Radiant skin requires regular use of a moisturizer. Yes, even those with oily skin need one, says skincare expert Shahnaz Husain. A water-based moisturiser may work well for normal to oily skin; but dry skin needs an oil-based, non-comedogenic (won’t close pores) blend.
Good options: Water-based non-comedogenic moisturisers from Clinique and Lan-corne; Biotique’s Morning Nectar; Sha-moist from Shahnaz.
Kitchen cosmetics:
“Mix glycerine, rosewater and lemon juice in equal parts, bottle and refrigerate. It can | be used to moisturise oily skin in summer. This moisturiser also acts as mild bleach. “Glycerine and rosewater are good for dry skin, mixed in equal parts. The mix can be refrigerated and used over a period of time. Normal skin will benefit from a blend of one teaspoon honey and two teaspoons yoghurt. Apply it on damp skin and leave on for five minutes. Rinse off with cool water.’
