Dr. Usui was a great man who dedicated his life to the pursuit of healing. His methodology, insight and practice not only awakened an ancient healing art, it also seeded this way of healing for all humanity.
The inner workings of Dr. Usui’s system which have not been presented within this work, offer a complete teaching on enlightenment. As practitioners in the West integrate these new concepts, perhaps a unified form of this teaching can be made more widely available.
Dr. Usui’s method of healing and enlightenment is very precise in its approach.
In terms of maintaining preservation of this sacred tradition, a complete and qualified transmission must be in place, if we are to honour Usui’s teachings in a way which supports clear understanding and the appropriate unfolding of this sacred art.
The Western Reiki schools, in many regards, have not all been shining examples of these ideals. With the gross misrepresentation and fragmentation of the Western Reiki System, it is no wonder that the authentic holders of Usui’s System exercise some caution. Ultimately, the goal in all of this is enlightened living, healing, and benefiting others with our wisdom, words and actions. May we, like Usui all walk towards this goal for the benefit of all that lives
