YOU’RE cleansing Q’s

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I SHAMPOO? Daily if you have oily hair, live in a polluted city or humid environment, or work out daily; every other day if hair is normal or combination (dry ends, oily roots); every few days if hair is dry, curly or colour-treated, or you live in a dry climate.
WHAT’S THE BEST TEMPERATURE? Warm water works up a nice lather and helps dissolve soap to rinse clean. Avoid really hot water, which can make hair limp. For the final rinse, cold water is best - it locks helpful ingredients in, makes hair shinier and smoother.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE TOO MUCH? Not if you rinse it all out! Usually, a blob the size of a Re 1 coin is enough, but hair length matters. .
IS IT OK TO USE AN OLD BOTTLE? Most shampoos have a shelf life of 2-3 years -check expiry date. A product that’s older won’t harm, but isn’t as effective. Tell-tale signs-, separation, change in colour or smell.
IS CONDITIONER REALLY ESSENTIAL? Conditioner finishes what shampoo starts, making hair manageable and repairing splits. It also replaces and seals in moisture, creates a protective barrier and smoothens the cuticle. But use only on strands, avoiding scalp as far as possible
