Care of skin in summer
It’s time once again for crisp cotton whites, linen kurtas, cool capris, strappy sandals, sleeveless blouses… But at the end of the season, you don’t want to end up looking (and feeling) like buttered toast. Here, several experts come up with a summer skincare regimen that nor only protects your skin against the heat and humidity, but also nurtures and nourishes.

Get that protection:-
Nearly 90 percent of our wrinkles come from exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays (UVA and UVB). They penetrate deep into skin and attack collagen, the spongy protein that gives skin its structure, firmness and elasticity.
Lighter complexions wrinkle more easily as they contain less melanin, the pigment that protects skin from some of the sun’s damaging rays. Indeed, sunscreen lotion should be used round the year, but you can switch to an oil-free product of higher SPF (sun protection factor) - ac least 15 — in summer. Apply sun protection 15 minutes before you go outdoors. Re-apply every two hours in the sun, and each time you wash your face. Here are some more tips:
- Stay indoors between 9am and 5pm.
- Keep in the shade as much as possible.
- Wear a hat to guard your face and cover yourself well - don’t expose your skin to direct sunlight.
- Don’t forget your sunglasses, as the fine skin around your eyes
