What if you must work
What if you must work?
There may times when your presence at work really is imperative - unless, of course, you are genuinely all-but dead.
For exigencies like these, try and do as much as you can to help your self in whatever time you do get at home. Take the appropriate medicine as suggested by your doctor. Drink plenty of fluids - juices from citrus fruits such as oranges and sweet lime (high in vitamin C) are especially effective in preventing colds, and will speed up your recovery as well if you have got one.
Having reached the office, try not to infect your colleague’s. But if you want to go so far as to wear a surgical mask to cover your nose and mouth continuously; but you can extend your personal-space bubble to about 3 feet - the outer reach of even a rather violent sneeze - to protect them from the germs. (Just make sure they know why you’re being standoffish!) In any case always keep a handkerchief handy to cover your mouth when you do cough or sneeze. Also, wash your hands often to avoid spreading the germs across your workplace - or picking up anything new in your weakened state
