BEAUTY – QUERIES

I have hair on my neck. I pluck 2 or 3 every day. Then pimples appear on the neck and when the hair comes back it gets stuck in the skin. Can I do threading in that area? Please tell me in which direction it should be done. I cannot afford electrolysis.
What you call a pimple is actually a skin reaction to an in-growing hair. Under the chin, on the neck is not the easiest area to do self-threading. The skin should be pulled tight when threading, so it is best done by somebody else and by somebody who does it well rather than cause any trauma to the skin.
If you allow the hair to come out once, you could even think about bleaching the hair, as constant threading will eventually lead to a problem same as when you pluck the hair before they are of a length suitable for threading. If you get an in-grown hair, you should keep the area clean. When a pimple forms over it, treat it like any infected pimple on the skin, otherwise it will leave a mark.
I am 16 years old now. I had my first periods when I was 8 years old. I look much older and weigh 65 kilo. My height is S’3″. I have lost 90% of the hair on my head, though I do not use too much shampoo. Where should I go and what should I do? I shall become bald in one or two years if I don’t do anything. I see advertisements for hair growth but I do not know if they are for me. I don’t have dandruff but I often feel itchy on my head. I am unable to concentrate on my studies because of this.
I am really sorry to read about your problem. You are so young, that you should be enjoying life and not worrying. But life is not always what we desire it to be. You have obviously had an early onset of puberty and the hormonal imbalance has led to loss of hair and overweight. Please consult a qualified doctor to give you the right advice, as your hair problem is related to your medical problem. It is not essentially a beauty problem.
As you say you have an itchy feeling, though there is no dandruff, it is best that you seek the advice of a good doctor, who is aware of all your problems. Explain to her about your early periods as well, because unless the doctor knows all your medical details and problems, she cannot help you.
I am 38 years old with a good slim figure and attractive face. I want to have an evergreen look. I exercise, drink lots of water and eat fresh fruit. But I suffer from anxiety. Does that make me look older?
If you are already slim with attractive facial features. You eat and drink sensibly too, so, you really should learn to relax. After a certain age, all of us want to look younger than our years but to be constantly anxious about it and worry about it is not going to help. You really need to get control your feelings and see all the nice things about yourself. Rather than a beauty treatment, I would suggest you to develop a hobby that boosts your self-worth and confidence, for it seems you are anxious about nothing. Of course, if you worry about something and constantly look in the mirror for a wrinkle, you will frown more than smile, and that will make you look older. So, relax and remember - you already have so much to be happy about!
