Five tips on Dental Care

� Avoid Sweets & Sticky Food: Avoid eating sweets & sticky food between meals.
Eat food that is rich in vitamins & minerals, such as apples, bananas, oranges, Papayas, raw carrots, radishes and green leafy vegetables. ‘^ Don’t take citrus drinks: Avoid aerated & concentrated citrus drinks as they erode the enamel (i.e. the outermost covering of the tooth). Also avoid spicy and hot food as it irritates the soft tissues of the mouth.
Choose a good brush: Select a brush that can reach all nooks and corners of the mouth. It should have soft, rounded bristles, rounded head and straight handle for a firm grip.
� Brush both times: Brush your teeth after every meal if possible, but definitely after breakfast and dinner.
Get a regular checkup: At least once in a week, moves your finger inside your mouth and over the gums to detect if there is any pain, bleeding or hardened tissue.
If anything is suspected, visit the Dentist immediately, otherwise get a Check-up-every 6 months.
