BEAUTY QUERIES

I work in a call centre and often do night shifts. My skin care goes haywire as a result When should I do the night treatment if I am working at night?
When we change our body clock, everything from skin care to health needs a little extra work and planning. In artificial light, skin does not get any sunshine and if it does that too is not good for skin. Remember that “neither total denial nor too much of anything is good.” Whenever you get back from work, follow the cleansing, toning and moisturising regimen.
While you rest and sleep, the skin will relax as well. If you work on night shifts, it means that you should take care of your skin routine and change it to suit your own personal needs. Do exfoliation once a week and provide your skin a nourishing mask, depending on the requirement of your skin.
The skin around my eyes has started becoming very papery. I am 35 years old. I think it is too early for the lines to appear. The beautician told me to use a night cream, but advised not to use it during the day. What can I apply in the daytime?
The main reason why certain creams are suggested for the night is that they have vitamin content which should be allowed to absorb naturally in the skin. They are not to be rubbed in. This is best done at night while you sleep. The day creams should be light in formulation and are normally gel based.
Consult a good beautician who does not sell products but only suggests what is right for you. Skin
Around the eyes is most delicate and sometimes fine lines start appearing as early as the age of 20s. It all depends on the quality of the skin and how much care you take of it. You will note that most face packs also suggest that you apply on the whole face except the eye area. You notice the fine lines around your eyes because when you look at yourself in the mirror, you are seeing that area alone. Others will not notice it as much as you do.
