So spoke a Chinese poet of the Sung Dynasty. He was traveling through China and stood upon a famous battlefield where an ancient battle had been fought. Such death, carnage, and suffering had taken place there that obviously the very rocks, earth; trees were imprinted with extremely strong negative vibrations, so that hundreds of years later the poet’s mind stream was negatively affected by the incidents that had occurred.
When I was young and living at home there was a house of the ‘Y’ family. Around 200 years ago a murder had taken place in that house in one of the rear rooms. A Samurai returning from his service to the Emperor had come upon what he thought was his wife and her lover. In his frenzy of wrath he had pulled his sword and beheaded both. His wife then entered and he discovered to his horror that he had dispatched, not his wife and her lover, but his wife’s beloved sister and his brother-in-law. Doing the only honourable thing he committed sepukko (suicide).
